I didn't get a chance to watch the debate last night (4 channels on the TV and one of them being TVO). From the look of things it seems I missed out on some hilarious stuff. Here is an excerpt that pretty much sums it up-
Some poignant moments in last night's foreign policy debate between President George W. Bush and Senator John Kerry-
President Bush looked straight into the camera and said, "I know Osama bin Laden attacked us. I know that." I think that makes all freedom loving people sleep better at night.
Kerry showed remarkable vision and discernment by being the first American leader to talk of "Islamic Muslims": "I have a better plan to be able to fight the war on terror by...beginning to isolate the radical Islamic Muslims," he declared.
We agree--those Islamic Muslims are bad enough, and the radical Islamic Muslims are the very worst of the lot. We hope that Kerry will clarify further whom we should be supporting in the "war on terror": the moderate Islamic Muslims or the radical un-Islamic Muslims.

The undisputed winner of the first 2004 presidential debate is....?
i dont know ---- I did think Kerry was the more intelligent of the two (but then who wouldn't be?),a nd was more succint, hard-hitting and prepared. Bush, however, to my surprise and disappointment (and minus the rhetoric "We will go to war for peace) wasn't too bad. While Kerry was the better of the two, the fact remains that he might not be effective enough to convince the Americans to vote for him. If they DO vote for him, I shall have to revise my opinion about their stupidity, and let's face it...how likely is that to happen?
Exactly! Kerry by no means the best choice - with his flip flop plans for Iraq and staunch proIsreal stance- but he is still better than 4 more years of the Shrubbery. But I think regardless of Kerry turning out to be the winner of the debate, with 4 weeks till the election, it might already be too late. Bush is crazy but he is offerring the American people clear options(aka more of the same).....and its highly likely that it will get him elected. er...umm... am I only one who think releasing a documentary about oneself before an election, is a very creepy way to gain support?
