I'm a self-absorbed Bengali-Torontonian;
Fish comes to me raw, wrappend in seaweed, not cooked in curry;
I love watching thunderstorms and rain;
Sad endings make more sense to me than happy ones;
I hate empty walls.

    Snapshots

    On the train home, snapshots of age-

    The Romantics: An elderly woman wearing dark glasses sits across from her husband on the train. They held hands for the whole 30 minute ride.

    The Pretender: A man with shoulder-length white hair strides pusposely down the platform. Keeping up with the current trend, he has short bangs on his forehead combed neatly

    The Preacher: A Jahovah's Witness recruiter waves a pamphlet in the faces of six teenagers, every one of them wearing full 'Hijab' loudly arguing 'Jesus as the last savior'. (now there is a conversation you want bring some popcorn and listen in)

    Stories in transit or just life?

    hahahaha...the jehovah's witness one is funny. although if u think about it, it makes sense from his point of view. He is a missionary, trying to save the world by brining ppl to jesus...and who better to preach to than those who obviously don't believe what he believes.

    now the muslim preachers/missionaries on the other hand (ie the tableegh ppl), preach basically to each other and maybe some other moderate muslims... they don't have the balls often to preach to non-muslims where they will have to answer questions using logic rather than the rhetoric they believe...

    missing u tonnes...can't wait to meet up once i'm back in TO
